Alfred Taylor

Alfred Taylor, age 81, a native of Gretna, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Baker, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.

Alfred was born October 28, 1944 in Gretna, LA. He is the son of Joseph Taylor and Eleanor Victor. He was married to the late Barbara Ann Pierre Taylor and to their union, Kendal Taylor (Algh) of Harvey, LA, Nigel Taylor (Nyga) of Baker, LA, Shannon Howard (Clarence) of Port Allen, LA, and the late Alfred Taylor Jr. Brother of Charles Taylor & Sidney Taylor. He is survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great - grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, officers and members of Evening Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, L.B. Landry Class of 1964, employees of Hunt Wesson Oil Company, Jefferson Parish Street's Department, Jefferson Parish School Board, as well as all Public School Bus Transportation System, are all invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Evening Star Baptist Church located at 817 Grefer Street Harvey, LA 70058. The visitation will begin at 8 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman officiating and interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
