Selena Harris Every

Selena Harris Every entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at West Jefferson Medical Center, at the young age of 99. She was a lifelong resident of Marrero LA.
Daughter of the late Eddie Harris Sr. and the late Cecelia Noble Harris. Beloved mother of Leon Every Sr., Adam Every III (Lana), Thelma Hunter, Maxine Every, the late Leroy Every Sr., Cornell Every and Lois Every Sylve. Sister of Delores Every (Lloyd Sr.), and the late Eddie Harris Jr., Samuel Harris, Rev. Daniel Harris Sr., Jacob Harris, Elnora Clark, Elma Coler, and Celestine Campbell. Godmother of Camilla Colemon. Mrs. Every is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 701 Huey P. Long Ave., Gretna LA. 70053. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10AM service. Pastor T. Lynn Robinson Sr. will officiate and interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
